INTRODUCTION:- 

The Carnot refrigeration cycle is a reverse engine cycle. All processes in a Carnot refrigeration cycle are reversible, so it is the most efficient refrigeration cycle. Figure 1.1a is a schematic diagram of a Carnot cycle refrigerating system, and Fig. 1.1b shows the Carnot refrigeration cycle using gas as the working substance. This Carnot cycle is composed of four reversible processes: 

  1. An isothermal process 4-1 in which heat q#1 is extracted at constant temperature TR1 per lb (kg) of working substance
  2. An isentropic compression process 1-2
  3. An isothermal process 2-3 in which q#2 is rejected at constant temperature TR2 per lb (kg) of working substance
  4. An isentropic expansion process 3-4 

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:- 

Contains a hermetic compressor,  3 expansion valves and 4 different interchangeable capillaries. The unit can be operated in different modes. 11 manually operated valves allow corresponding changes to be made to the refrigeration circuit.

  1. Air-to-water heat pump for cooling and heating.
  2. 7 different operating modes possible, adjustable using 11 manually operated valves.
  3. Hermetic piston compressor, finned tube condenser, 2 finned tube evaporators.
  4. Coaxial tube heat exchanger (refrigerant - water/glycol).
  5. Water/glycol circuit with 3.5ltr tank and circulating pump.
  6. Refrigeration circuit with intake pressure regulator, sight glasses, pressure regulators, 3 thermostatic expansion valves, 4 different capillary tubes.
  7. CFC-free refrigerant R134a.
  8. 230V, 50/60Hz, 1 phase.
  9. Compressor: power consumption 235W at -10°C, refrigerating capacity: 580W at 5/32°C.
